Invasive species are the primary barrier to natural regeneration across FNQ. Our targeted programs use mechanical, chemical, and integrated methods — chosen for site sensitivity, not convenience. We remove the competition. Native species do the rest.
Weed Control
We source locally-provenance native species and establish plantings designed to become self-sustaining ecosystems — not just tree counts. Each project is planned for 95%+ survival and long-term ecological function.
Revegetation
FNQ's tropical rainfall intensity makes erosion control critical. We implement stabilisation works, vegetative buffers, and waterway restoration designed for the wet-dry cycle of the tropics.
Erosion Control
Under Australia's ACCU Scheme, revegetation projects generate carbon credit units for every tonne of CO₂ sequestered. Stack with Nature Repair Market biodiversity certificates for dual income.
Carbon Farming
The Southern Cassowary disperses the seeds of over 150 rainforest species. Without it, the Wet Tropics cannot regenerate.
The cassowary is land regeneration in its purest form. It is the guardian of the rainforest — and the emblem of Steady Eco.
